White Christmas

Well we had a white Christmas this year. In the month of December we had a total of 15 inches +. The boys had a good christmas morning. They loved opening there gifts. Mason and Marcus even opened Kirt's and Mine. We sent out homemade christmas cards and put a picture of the boys in football jerseys in it. The boys are wearing jerseys from the city or state they were born in. Adam - San Diego, Mason - Arizona, Marcus - Indianapolis. We hope you all had a wonderful christmas and a great new year.

Snow, Snow, Snow!!!

Marcus wanted to go outside to play in the snow. He wouldn't wear a coat but wanted to put on what he called a purple shirt. It was Adam's Cub Scout shirt and he wore it for about an hour. Inside that is. I told him no jacket no outside.
This is also a picture of him in the cub scout shirt. I just wanted to play with the photo stuff to see what it would look like.

This is our first snow. It was so pretty. The second picture of the sky is what it looked like with the storm moving.

Pumpkin Patch

This is in October when Marcus' preschool class went to a farm to get pumpkins. He had a lot of fun. The picture of him in front of the cows, that is a close as he would get to them. They were skittish too. If I came to close they would duck there heads back in and move away. The smell there however was not good.

THANKSGIVING

Here we are THANKSGIVING DAY. My Mom and Dad came to visit for a few days. They left that day in the late afternoon. It was good for them because they had a good flight home and plenty of space on the plane. You can also see how big the boys are getting when standing next to Mimi and Boompa. Can't wait to see them again.

New Kitchen cupboard and island.

Kirt's Parents recently visited us for a few days. It was fun having them here. Marcus really liked interacting with them. Grammy took him for a walk in the wagon to the creek. Adam had to go find them and make Marcus come home. He would stay there all day if he could. It was a warm visit. We got up to 89* the Saturday they were here. Too hot for me. Kirt and Lynard worked on a project while they were here. Kirt and Lynard put in a new cupboard and an Island in our kitchen. We still have to Tile the top of it. I love it. I love the extra counter space and storage space. There is so much more room on the rest of the kitchen counters. Eleanor and I went shopping. We went to the antique stores, Barnes and Noble, Le Gourmet Chef, Cold Water Creek, and went to lunch at Johnny Rockets. Kirt, Lynard, and Eleanor went down to McCormick Creek, Brown County Park, and Nashville Indiana to hike and look at the leaves that are starting to change colors. It was a nice visit and we miss them already.

Adam/Tennis 2010

Adam has improved over last year in tennis. He has won several matches. He also moved up a position to JV Doubles 3. I don't have any pictures of him from the front because I was behind a fence and they won't let us in to take pictures. It would be to distracting for the players. I will post more in a couple of weeks when the season is over. Then get ready for swim team.

My Latest Paintings

The first picture Marcus painted after I was done working on my paintings. He loved using Mommy's paints and brushes. The 2nd painting is not done but I am slowly working on the picture of the Mesa Temple. I am painting it from one of the photos that my sister Autumn took. The last picture is a painting that I started at least 2 years ago. I just forgot that it was in my closet. When I cleaned my closet a week ago I found it and finished it. It is one of my favorites.

Horses

Marcus loves horses. He wore out his old white stick horse I made for him. So I had to make a new one. He likes having a black horse. I also added a thicker stick part. It is a swimming noodle with a wood dowel in the middles of it. The painting I did because Marcus loves horses and I thought we could put one up on his wall. This is a picture of him riding his new stick horse. He is pretending to jump over the white lid like they jump over poles in equestrian competitions .

The Scare Crow

I just finished this drawing tonight. I wish I could have had it done for girls camp. Our theme was Over the Rainbow. I did this drawing once before back in the late 90's. We gave it to a co-worker of Kirts before we moved from San Diego. He always liked it so I drew him another one. Not as big but still pretty good.

Marcus can Spell

Okay everybody. I took this picture when Marcus was through putting the letters up the way he wanted. I have never told or taught him how to spell TOYS< CAFE< or JIG. He has been doing this a lot more lately. He loves letters and words. He has some videos that are about horses and farms and will cover the alphabet with words like Farrier, Breed, etc. They show them on the video and he will yell out F for Farrier, or B for Breed. I hope this means he will be able to read in a year when he will enter Kindergarten. He is also talking much better. Using more words and actually answering correctly. Now if we only could get him to eat. One battle at a time. Yeah!!!

Potato Harvest

Hey everybody. These are the red potato's that I recently harvested out of my own garden. Last year we did yukon gold and got a lot too. Next year I am going to do sweet potatos. They are so easy to grow and I think everyone should try it. Did you know they have purple potato's too.

Marcus At Swimming Lessons

Marcus loves the water. But he doesn't like to be splashed. He also didnt' like to be dunked since he wouldn't put his head under water. The swimming lessons were good for him socially though. Hopefully next summer he will be more inclined to go under and blow bubbles. He missed the last 3 days of swim. He would tell me no and I couldn't get him dressed. That weekend he ended up getting sick. So he knew he didnt' want to swim. Oh well, maybe next year.

Marcus Mason Adam

I think I have the best looking boys around.

Family Day Outing

We went on a Saturday for a drive about half way to Terra Haute to a state park. This is what we found after following a couple of detours because of road contruction. It was a warm day but the boys had fun. Marcus loves to throw rocks and looks for the biggest he can find.

19th Anniversary

This is A Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Cake that we had for dessert on our Anniversary. We also had Country BBQ Ribs. Yum!

June 13, 1991

HAPPY 19TH ANNIVERSARY
It's hard to believe it has been 19 years. I love being married to my best friend. I hope and pray that we have at least another 19 years together in this life. I am grateful that we are sealed together for time and all eternity. Kirt, I love you more and more each day.
Love,
Shatzi
